I started this quilt about a two months ago and it moved relatively quickly, I think. Then I hit a huge roadblock called Depression and had to stop for a bit. Since I was feeling a bit better tonight, I decided to finally finish it. Here it is.
That's my mom's head and shoes peeking through.
Here is a closeup of one of the squares.
Now this one was before I added the binding.
And one more of the completed thing with our dog, Vinicius, doing a pretty good job of photobombing.

Fall in the Air
I made this table topper for my sister, who is working at CROW animal center up in Sanibel Island, Florida and has been lacking the time to do fall decorating.
You can find the pattern here. It is very easy to make if you have a charm pack at hand.
The binding is a bit of three fabrics that I had left over.

Halloween Table Runner
To get everyone in my house in the spooky mood for Halloween, I made this quilted table runner out of a few fat quarters I picked up on sale at JoAnn's.
It's a pretty simple pattern I found here and which can be adapted for any season, any colors you'd like.
There it is without the border. I chose a mossy green for it and a fall themed back fabric so that I can flip it over when Halloween passes. Two runners in one!
And here it is with the many, many ornaments.

First Attempt
This was my first ever attempt at making a quilt. I used the tutorial from the fabulous blog Diary of a Quilter, and, though it isn't perfect by any means, it's given me the confidence to keep working on quilts. It truly is a satisfying thing to see it spread out on my lap.
